Late 17th-century mottled dark brown calf over paper boards; sewn on four supports; blind fillets forming two concentric rectangular frames on boards, with blind stamps at outer corners of inner frame; spine with four raised bands, and blind fillets and rolls; gilt roll around board edges; text block edges marbled; leather spine label with "Tracts on Scotland" tooled in gilt; "1638" in gilt at tail of spine; evidence of earlier stab stitching on some items.

Pagination and imprint in this record are from the copy in hand. It is not clear whether this is ESTC R28129, or a variant thereof. The ESTC record gives the pagination as "15 [i.e.13] p."; and the imprint as "Rotterdam : Printed by P.C. and are to be sold by Gysbert van Roon, 1650".

The right hand edge of the printed text of the title page has not printed properly: the "d" of "World" at the end of line 2 is only partial, as is the second "k" of "Kirck" at the end of line 5. "Draybridg" at the end of line three of the imprint may be lacking a final "e".
