17th-century dark brown calf over paper boards; sewn on four supports; boards decorated with blind fillets forming rectangular frame towards perimeter of boards, with additional vertical blind fillets towards spine edge; spine with four raised bands and gilt fillets; leather spine label with author and title; date 1669 in gilt at tail of spine; gilt roll around board edges; text block edges sprinkled red and brown.
