Late 17th-century dark brown sprinkled and plain calf over millboard; sewn on three tanned leather supports; board decorated with blind fillets and rolls forming three concentric rectangular frames in Cambridge panel design, with blind stamps at the outer corners of the middle frame; smooth spine with blind fillets; text block edges sprinkled red; evidence of earlier stab stitching.
