Originally published in 1614 as "A treatise written by Mr. Doctour Carier, wherein he layeth downe sundry learned and pithy considerations", and in 1632 as "A carrier to a king".

Note

There are four unsigned leaves inserted between A8 and B1. These contain "The names of some who have lately been ministers, or university men in England and Scotland, and are now converted to the Catholike faith" and errata. Line 1 of first unsigned leaf ends "some who have" and the first section of errata is two lines long. Variant: the four unsigned leaves have been cancelled and replaced with two leaves (chain lines vertical). Line 1 of first unsigned leaf ends "have lately been" and the first section of errata is 4 lines long.
