A reply to Henry Janson's "Philanax Anglicus, or, A Christian caveat" was first published anonymously before 1663, and was taken mainly from Jerusalem and Babel by Matthew Pattenson. It was subscribed "Thomas Bellamy", corrected and enlarged by Sir Henry Janson. Cf. Halkett and Laing.
