Suzanne Eward, former librarian at Salisbury Cathedral, suggests that the book may have owned by Seth Ward (1617-1689); see card catalogue.
Binding
17th-century sprinkled brown sheepskin over paper boards; rebacked, with new endleaves; boards decorated with blind fillets forming rectangular frame towards perimeter of boards, with additional vertical blind fillets towards spine; text block edges heavily sprinkled red.
