Leaves A4,5, B2,4, M5, Ll1, and Nn2,4,6 are cancels printed after the death of Queen Mary in 1694. These gatherings also have "corrected" signatures as follows: A4-5 signed A7, A9; B4 signed B7; M5 signed M9; Ll5 signed Ll9; Nn4 signed Nn7.

Binding
Late 17th-century dark brown leather, gilt panelled (most gilt is now missing), with corner-pieces with crown and W (so probably after 1695); all corners worn. Spine replaced with 19th-century leather, with labels for "Common prayer" and "1693". Early leaves damaged at foot, some repairs. In archival card box, approx. 2015.

Goodman (probably Arthur Worthington Goodman) to Canon Quirk, dated "Winton / 26 August 1943", about the actual date of printing (suggested as 1695, following the death of Queen Mary II on 28 December 1694), and citing Cambridge University Press practice in making amendments to prayer books on the death of Edward VII. Now in Loose Inserts Box.
