This record is for the three treatises that are named on the title page: 1. A child of light walking in darknesse; 2. The returne of prayers; 3. The tryall of growth. Each of these has a separate title page, pagination, and register, and was previously published separately. A further five treatises by Thomas Goodwin are bound in the same volume, and may be the "other divine tractates" as mentioned on the title page. Each of these five has been catalogued separately. Their titles are: Christ set forth (London, 1651) (ESTC R10435), which also includes The heart of Christ in heaven; Encouragements to faith (London 1650) (ESTC R10380); Aggravation of sinne and sinning (London, 1650) (ESTC R10539); The vanitie of thoughts discovered (London, 1650) (ESTC R12278); and Christ the universall peace-maker (London, 1651) (ESTC R202317)
