Salisbury Cathedral Library bookplate (20th century) with design based on the Dean and Chapter seal, and inscription “Sarvm Cathedral Library.”

Binding

17th-century sprinkled brown calf over paper boards; rebacked and repaired, with new marbled endleaves; boards decorated with blind fillets forming rectangular frame towards perimeter of boards, with additional horizontal blind fillets towards spine edge; spine with six raised bands and blind fillets; beige leather spine labels with title: "Graduale" and "Eccles: Sar:"; date 1528 tooled in gilt at tail of spine. Now in archival card box.

Copy-specific note

Leaf xxx, which contains the texts and music for the feast day of Thomas Becket, has been cut out; a replacement leaf has been supplied in manuscript (19th-century?). This section actually begins on leaf xxix verso, and everything there relating to Thomas Becket has been crossed out. Becket's name in the calendar has also been crossed out, along with references to popes.
