16th-century dark brown calf over pasteboards (made from printed waste); sewn on four tanned leather thongs; blind fillets forming rectangular frame toward perimeter of boards, with blind stamps at inner corners and in centre of boards; spine with four raised bands and horizontal blind fillets; titles in ink on fore-edge; pressmark B33 on fore-edge; remains of two ties at fore-edge; parchment manuscript waste used as pastedowns, now free (identified by David Selwyn as two leaves of a 13th/14th-century English manuscript of Thomas Aquinas, In libros Sententiarum).
