16th-century dark brown calf over paper boards; sewn on five supports; blind fillets forming rectangular frame towards perimeter of boards, with blind round centrepiece stamp; spine with five raised bands, later gilt horizontal fillets, red goatskin spine label with title and author, and "1559" in gilt; pressmark B21 in ink on fore-edge.
