Both volumes: 17th-century sprinkled brown calf over paper boards; sewn on four tawed leather supports; blind fillets forming rectangular frame towards perimeter of boards; spine with four raised bands and blind fillets (could be tying-up marks); gilt fillet around board edges; text block edges sprinkled red; paper spine label on vol. 1 with "Commentaria Practica in N.T. T Cartwirght 1630" in ink; title in ink on fore-edge of vol. 1; "TC" in ink on fore-edge of vol. 2; evidence of chain plate at fore-edge of lower board of vol. 1 and fore-edge of upper board of vol. 2; printed waste used as endleaf guards.
