16th-century dark brown calf over pasteboards (made of printed waste); sewn on four double tanned leather supports; blind fillets forming rectangular frame towards perimeter of boards, with additional blind vertical fillet closer to spine edge; spine with four raised bands, later gilt fillets, leather spine label (partially missing), and "1550" in later gilt at foot; remains of two blue-green ties at fore-edge; title in ink on fore-edge; pressmark B51 in ink on fore-edge; manuscript waste used as pastedowns (identified by Selwyn as leaves from a 12th-century, 2nd half English manuscript of the Psalms, glossed).
