16th-century dark brown calf over pasteboards (made of printed waste); sewn on four tanned leather supports; blind fillets and roll forming concentric rectangular frames on boards (roll identified by Selwyn as Oldham FL.a(10) 713, and attributed by David Pearson to Cambridge); spine with four raised bands, possible blind hatching at head and foot, later gilt fillets, and spine labels with title; remains of two ties at fore-edge; parchment manuscript waste used as pastedowns (identified by Selwyn as four leaves from the same 14th-century English manuscript of of Dun Scotus, Distinctiones).

Bound in two volumes. The first volume contains gatherings Aa-Ee (leaves 1-40), comprising the Gospels. Gatherings Aa-Cc are interleaved with blank paper, covered with manuscript annotations by Guest, and 8 blank leaves, also heavily annotated, are bound at the beginning of the volume. The second volume contains gatherings Ff-Ll, comprising Acts-Revelations. Five blank leaves have been bound at the beginning of the volume, and seven at the end, most of which are covered with Guest's annotations. One further blank leaf, with annotations, has been bound between leaves Ii2 and Ii3.
