16th-century dark brown calf over paste boards; sewn on four supports; blind fillets forming rectangular frame towards perimeter of boards, with blind oval centrepiece; spine with four raised bands, later gilt fillets, spine label with author and title, and "1573" in gilt at foot; remains of two ties at fore-edge; title in ink on fore-edge; pressmark in ink on fore-edge; parchment manuscript waste used as endleaf guards.
