16th-century reddish-brown calf over paper boards; repaired and rebacked (20th century); blind fillets and roll forming rectangular frame towards perimeter of boards (roll identified by Selwyn as Oldham FL.a(1) 704, which has been ascribed to Nicholas Spierinck by David Pearson); 20th-century spine with four raised bands, and author, title, and date in gilt; evidence of two pairs of ties at fore-edge; title in ink on fore-edge; pressmark B11 in ink on fore-edge.
