16th-century dark brown calf over pasteboards (made from printed waste); sewn on four supports; blind fillets forming rectangular frame towards perimeter of boards, with blind centrepiece stamp; spine with four raised bands, later gilt fillets, leather spine label with "Lossius In Epist Dominicales", and 1552 at foot in gilt; remains of two pairs of green ties at fore-edge; title in ink on fore-edge (very faded); pressmark S40 in ink on fore-edge; printed waste used as endleaves; parchment manuscript waste used as endleaf guard (identified by Selwyn as a fragment of a 15th-century English liturgical manuscript, with music.
