In volumes 1 and 2: Salisbury Cathedral Library bookplate (19th century) with 13th-century Dean and Chapter seal and inscription “Sarum Cathedral Library.”

Binding

16th-century dark brown calf over paper boards; sewn on four tanned leather supports; blind fillets forming rectangular frame towards perimeter of boards, with blind centrepiece stamp; spines (volumes 1 and 3-4 repaired) with four raised bands, later gilt fillets, spine label with "Schoepperi Conciones", and volume number in gilt; evidence of two pairs of ties at fore-edge; title in ink on fore-edge, pressmarks S43, S44, S45 in ink on spines; vol. 2 has a strip of parchment manuscript waste as a partial pastedown/ endleaf guard? on upper board and as a guard for the lower endleaves.

Bound in three volumes, containing (1) vol. 1, (2) vol. 2, and (3) vols. 3-4. Guest's binding instruction at foot of title page of volume 1: "This and ye second together in past" and at foot of title page volume 3: "This and the fourt together in past" (these instructions were clearly not carried out).
