16th-century dark brown calf over paper boards; repaired and rebacked May 1938 and July 1947; blind fillets forming rectangular frame towards perimeter of boards, with blind stamp (blank cartouche) in centre of boards; spine with four raised bands, and author, title and date in gilt (20th-century); evidence of two pairs of ties at fore-edge; title in ink on fore-edge; pressmark A47 on fore-edge.
