16th-century brown sheepskin over paper boards; repaired July 1947; sewn on four supports; blind fillets forming rectangular frame towards perimeter of boards, with blind centrepiece stamp (blank cartouche); spine with four raised bands, and author, title and date in gilt; evidence of two pairs of ties at fore-edge; titles in ink on fore-edge; pressmark A21 on fore-edge.
