16th-century dark brown calf over pasteboards (printed waste visible); sewn on four tanned leather supports; blind fillets and rolls forming concentric rectangular frames on boards with blind stamps in centre (roll identified by Selwyn as Odham HM.h(29) 854, tentatively attributed by Pearson to Nicholas Spierinck); spine with four raised bands and horizontal blind fillets; remains of two ties at fore-edge; title and pressmark C32 in ink on fore-edge; parchment manuscript waste used as pastedowns, now unstuck (identified by Selwyn as leaves from a 14th-century English copy of Jacobus de Voragine, Legenda Aurea).
