16th-century dark brown calf over pasteboards (including parchment manuscript waste); sewn on four tanned leather supports; blind fillets and rolls forming rectangular frame at perimeter of boards (roll signed "G G" for Garrett Godfrey, and identified by Selwyn as Oldham HE.b(2) 747, =Gray, Roll III); spine with four raised bands and blind fillets; remains of two pairs of green ties at fore-edge; parchment manuscript waste used as pastedowns, now unstuck (identified by Selwyn as leaves from a 14th-century English manuscript of Duns Scotus, In primo libro Sententiarum); shelfmark (G14) and title in ink on fore-edge.
