16th-century dark brown calf over paper boards; repaired May 1938); blind fillets and roll forming concentric rectangular frames on boards (roll identified by Selwyn as Oldham FL.a(10) 713, and now attributed to Cambridge by Pearson); spine with four raised bands, blind tooling, and author, titles and dates in gilt (20th century); evidence of two pairs of ties at fore-edge; title and pressmark (C13) in ink on fore-edge; parchment manuscript waste used as pastedowns, now unstuck (identified by Selwyn as leaves from a 14th- or 15th-century English liturgical calendar); new endleaves.
