16th-century dark brown calf over paste boards; sewn on four tanned leather supports; blind fillets forming rectangular frame towards perimeter of boards, with blind stamps at inner corners and in centre of boards; spine with four raised bands; remains of ties; pressmark A43 and titles in ink on fore-edge; parchment manuscript waste used as pastedowns (identified by Selwyn as leave from a 13th-/14th-century English manuscript of Thomas Aquinas, In libros Sententiarum).
