Binding

16th-century dark brown calf over paper boards; sewn on four supports (two laced into the boards); blind fillets forming rectangular frame towards perimeter of boards, and central blind cartouche stamp; spine with four raised bands; evidence of ties; pressmark A27 and faint title in ink on fore-edge; parchment manuscript waste used as endleaf guard (identified by Selwyn as fragments from a 14th-century English Psalter).
