Most of the books of the Bible are preceded by Jerome's preface. Following the text of the Bible are "Interpretationes nominu[m] Hebraicor[um]" and "Translatores Biblie". Leaf BB4v contains a woodcut of St Jerome removing a thorn from the lion's paw in the midst of translation.

17th-century sprinkled brown calf over paper boards; rebacked (20th-century?); blind fillets forming rectangular frame towards perimeter of boards; gilt roll around board edges (little gilt remaining); text block edges stained red; "Biblia Sacra" and "Basle 1495" in gilt (20th-century?) on spine.

Frequent marginal annotations in ink, in possibly two 16th- or 17th-century hands. The handwriting is extremely small, and the annotations have been cropped by the binder. Leaf Mm8v has verses written in several hands.
