19th-century tan quarter leather (spine is calf, partially diced, and corners are sheepskin); boards covered with marbled paper; blind tooling on the leather where it meets the marbled paper on the boards; spine with five flat raised bands, and blind and gilt tooling; "T. Penketh super Sententias J. Duns, Scoti" and "Venetiis 1481" in gilt on spine; 16th-century titling and pressmark "N41" in ink on fore-edge.
