Inscription in late 15th/early 16th-century hand on leaf I7v, immediately below colophon: "R. Hacumbley". This is probably Robert Hacomplaynt or Hacomblen (1455 or 1456-1528), who was provost of King's College, Cambridge (1509-1528).

19th-century tan quarter leather (spine is calf; corners are sheepskin); boards covered with marbled paper; blind tooling on boards, at the edges of the leather, where it meets the paper; spine with five raised bands, blind stamps, and gilt rolls; head-edge and tail-edge stained red; drab endleaves; title in ink on fore-edge; "Robertus Holkot Super Librum Sapientiæ" and "Basil 1489" in gilt on spine.
