Thomas Preston, music publisher, died in July 1834. His successors, Charles Coventry (ca. 1799-1856) and John Hollier (ca. 1801-1862), had taken Preston's business over by August 1834; their business partnership was dissolved in September 1847. Bequeathed to the Archives of St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle by Brigadier Tim Hackworth, military knight of Windsor and a direct descendant of Joseph Corfe (1740-1820) and Arthur Thomas Corfe (1773-1863); subsequently donated by the Archives of St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle to Salisbury Cathedral Library, with the agreement of the family of the late Brigadier Hackworth.
