Quæ præter superiora scripta apud omnes æquos & bonos certissimu[m] testimonium dicet consilii institutíque ipsorum in tam iusto ac necessario bello suscipiendo gerendóque. Ex Gallico sermone quàm potuit fidelissimè repræsentata. M.D.LXX." has separate title page on leaf a1r, and pagination (not foliation).

Cambridge University Library catalogue states that it was "translated and adapted by J. de Serres from the Commentaires de l'estat de la religion & republique soubs les rois Henry & Francois II, by P. de la Place (BN). Later ed. entitled Commentariorum de statu religionis & republicae ... I partis, libri III (cf. Durham University Library R.XLII.D.16)".
