Quæ præter superiora scripta apud omnes æquos & bonos certissimu[m] testimonium dicet consilii institutíque ipsorum in tam iusto ac necessario bello suscipiendo gerendóque. Text attributed to Pierre de la Place and to Jean de Serres. Cambridge University Library catalogue states that it was "translated and adapted by J. de Serres from the Commentaires de l'estat de la religion & republique soubs les rois Henry & Francois II, by P. de la Place (BN). Later ed. entitled Commentariorum de statu religionis & republicae ... I partis, libri III (cf. Durham University Library R.XLII.D.16)".
