17th-century dark brown calf over paper boards; sewn on four supports; blind fillets forming rectangular frame towards perimeter of boards, with additional vertical blind fillets towards spine edge; smooth spine with blind gilt fillets; date 1654 tooled in gilt at tail of spine.
