16th-century dark brown calf over paper boards; sewn on four tawed leather supports; boards decorated with blind fillets forming rectangular frame towards perimeter of boards, and blind blank cartouche stamp at centre; spine with four raised bands and blind fillets; printed waste used as endleaves (fragments of leaves from an incunable?); parchment endleaf guards; remains of two leather ties at fore-edge; pressmark (N1) in ink on fore-edge (faded).
