16th-century dark brown calf over paper boards; sewn on four tanned leather supports; boards decorated with blind fillets forming rectangular frame towards perimeter of boards, and blind stamp at centre; spine with four raised bands, and blind fillets at head and tail; printed waste used as endleaves, with parchment endleaf guards; remains of two pairs of leather ties at fore-edge; pressmark N23 in ink on fore-edge, upside-down in relation to text.
