Thomas Preston, music publisher, died in July 1834. His successors, Charles Coventry (ca. 1799-1856) and John Hollier (ca. 1801-1862), had taken Preston's business over by August 1834; their business partnership was dissolved in September 1847. One of a large collection of music prints bound together. Many of these prints bear the signature: J. E. Cother [Jane Elizabeth Cother]. Jane Elizabeth Cother (ca. 1818-1899) married Charles William Corfe (1814-1883) on 7th July, 1842. Following C. W. Corfe's death, she married George Thomas Miles on 22nd January, 1885. As Jane Elizabeth Miles, she died on 29th April, 1899, aged 81.
