16th-century dark brown calf over paper boards; sewn on four tanned leather supports; boards decorated with blind fillets forming rectangular frame towards perimeter of boards, with blind lozenge-shaped stamp at centre of boards; remains of two pairs of ties at fore-edge; parchment manuscript waste used as endleaf guards (identified by David Selwyn as strips from a 13th-century English manuscript); titles in ink on fore-edge; pressmark "M20" on fore-edge.
