Note

Thomas D'Almaine (ca. 1776-1858) was in partnership with George Goulding and others from at least as early as 1798 (see: British Book Trade Index). After George Goulding's death in Dublin on 21st August, 1814, his widow, Sarah Dennis Goulding (ca. 1766-1843) appears to have continued the business partnership with T. D'Almaine. Thomas D'Almaine (ca. 1776-1858) was in partnership with George Goulding's widow, Sarah Dennis Goulding (ca. 1766-1843), until 1833. The partnership between Sarah Dennis Goulding and Thomas D'Almaine was dissolved by the end of September 1833; see, London Gazette, October 1, 1833, page 1773. From October 1833, the business traded as D'Almaine and Co. Thomas D'Almaine retired in March 1847. From October 1833, the business traded as D'Almaine and Co. Thomas D'Almaine retired in March 1847.

Inscription, in ink, at head of page 2: "J. E. Cother" [Jane Elizabeth Cother]. Jane Elizabeth Cother (ca. 1818-1899) married Charles William Corfe (1814-1883) on 7th July, 1842. Following C. W. Corfe's death, she married George Thomas Miles on 22nd January, 1885. As Jane Elizabeth Miles, she died on 29th April, 1899, aged 81. As this print bears the inscription "J. E. Cother" it must have come into her possession before her marriage.

Bequeathed to the Archives of St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle by Brigadier Tim Hackworth, military knight of Windsor and a direct descendant of Joseph Corfe (1740-1820) and Arthur Thomas Corfe (1773-1863); subsequently donated by the Archives of St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle to Salisbury Cathedral Library, with the agreement of the family of the late Brigadier Hackworth.
