Note
Mary Whitnall was born in Liverpool on 5th November, 1814. Accompanying herself on the piano, Miss Whitnall sang 'Minona Ashtore' at a "farewell concert" given on 17th November, 1842 at the Royal Assembly Rooms, Great George Street, Liverpool. Mary Whitnall married Richard Scarisbrick in Liverpool on 2nd May, 1853. As Mrs. Scarisbrick she died at Southport on 9th September, 1874, aged 59.

One of a large collection of music prints bound together. Many of these prints bear the signature: J. E. Cother [Jane Elizabeth Cother]. Jane Elizabeth Cother (ca. 1818-1899) married Charles William Corfe (1814-1883) on 7th July, 1842. Following C. W. Corfe's death, she married George Thomas Miles on 22nd January, 1885. As Jane Elizabeth Miles, she died on 29th April, 1899, aged 81.
