After the death of her first husband, Lewis Augustus Lavenu, on 17th August, 1818, Mrs. Eliza Lavenu (maiden name: Brooks), traded alone until her marriage to Nicholas Mori on 24th January, 1826. She was certainly trading from premises at 24, Edward's Street [otherwise, Edwards Street], Manchester Square between June 1821 and January 1824; see, for example: The New Times, June 20, 1821, page [1], and, The Courier, January 5, 1824, page [1]. She died on 3rd August, 1838, aged 51.

Inscription, in ink, at head of title page: "J. E. Cother" [Jane Elizabeth Cother]. Jane Elizabeth Cother (ca. 1818-1899) married Charles William Corfe (1814-1883) on 7th July, 1842. Following C. W. Corfe's death, she married George Thomas Miles on 22nd January, 1885. As Jane Elizabeth Miles, she died on 29th April, 1899, aged 81.
