Inscription on upper endleaf of v. 1: "J. E. Kelsall 1917". This is the Rev. John Edward Kelsall (1864-1924), vicar of East Boldre and later rector of (New) Milton, Hampshire. He established the Milton Institute, and bequeathed his library to it.
