The present song is included in a long list headed "Millar's vocal music" available from several publishers and sellers, including Dalmaine [sic] and Co., at the end of 1837; see: The Bath Chronicle, December 21, 1837, page [2]. As Thomas D'Almaine (ca. 1776-1858) was trading in partnership with Sarah Dennis Goulding (ca. 1766-1843) until the end of September 1833, this print may predate the advertisement of December 21, 1837.

One of a large collection of music prints bound together. Many of these prints bear the signature: J. E. Cother [Jane Elizabeth Cother]. Jane Elizabeth Cother (ca. 1818-1899) married Charles William Corfe (1814-1883) on 7th July, 1842. Following C. W. Corfe's death, she married George Thomas Miles on 22nd January, 1885. As Jane Elizabeth Miles, she died on 29th April, 1899, aged 81.
