No. [blank]”. “Thomas” added in manuscript in gap before “Freke”. “182” added in manuscript in gap following “No”. Part of the Gillingham Parochial Library, bequeathed to the vicar and feoffees of the parish lands of Gillingham by Thomas Freke (d. 1718?), and placed on permanent loan in Salisbury Cathedral Library 25 November 1992. "N9" inscribed on front flyleaf. Gillingham reference N9/182/-.

18th-century mottled brown sheepskin; sewn on two supports; blind fillets toward edges of boards forming rectangular frame with additional vertical line towards spine; blind fillets on spine; paper spine label with title; text block edges sprinkled red.
