17th-century sprinkled brown calf over paper boards; repaired and rebacked, with new endleaves; boards decorated with blind fillets forming rectangular frame towards perimeter of boards, with additional vertical blind fillets towards spine; gilt fillet around board edges; text block edges sprinkled red; new spine with title and date in gilt: "Borellus De Vero Telescopii Inventore" and "1655".
