Late 16th-century parchment over paper boards; sewn on four tawed leather supports; boards decorated with blind fillets forming rectangular frame towards perimeter of boards, with blind oval centre-piece stamp in centre of boards; spine with four raised bands; later leather spine label with title: "Piscart" Logic:"; (incorrect) date "1595" written in ink at tail of spine; remains of two pairs of ties at fore-edge.
