Germanic?; 16th-century pigskin; boards decorated with blind fillets and rolls forming concentric rectangular frames, within which are corner stamps and a centrepiece stamp; sewn on four tawed leather supports; spine with four raised bands, and blind fillets at head and tail; text block edges stained red; titles of items written in ink on fore-edge; later spine label with title: "Busbequii Itinera"; parchment manscript waste used as spine lining.
