17th-century parchment over paper boards; sewn on five supports; boards decorated with blind fillets intersecting to form rectangular frame towards perimeter of boards, with blind centrepiece stamp; spine with five raised bands; text block edges sprinkled blue; remains of two pairs of ties at fore-edge; manuscript waste used as spine lining (just visible through cracked joints).
