[blank]. Attested by me (this 12 April 1735) William Newton, Vicar and Minister of Wingham, Kent. No. [blank]”. “Thomas” added in manuscript in gap before “Freke”. Gap following “No” left blank. Part of the Gillingham Parochial Library, bequeathed to the vicar and feoffees of the parish lands of Gillingham by Thomas Freke (d. 1718?), and placed on permanent loan in Salisbury Cathedral Library 25 November 1992. "Q.2" inscribed on front flyleaf. Spine label with "92". Gillingham reference Q2/L/92.

Late 17-century sprinkled brown calf over rope-fibre boards; sewn on five cord supports; blind fillets towards edges of boards forming rectangular frame; blind fillets at head and tail of spine; five raised bands; paper spine label with title; sewn endbands; text block edges sprinkled red.
