[blank]. Attested by me (this 12 April 1735) William Newton, Vicar and Minister of Wingham, Kent. No. [blank]”. “Thomas” added in manuscript in gap before “Freke”. “408” added in manuscript in gap following “No”. Part of the Gillingham Parochial Library, bequeathed to the vicar and feoffees of the parish lands of Gillingham by Thomas Freke (d. 1718?), and placed on permanent loan in Salisbury Cathedral Library 25 November 1992. "CC11" inscribed on front flyleaf. Gillingham reference CC11/408/-.

18th-century plain and mottled calf over rope-fibre boards; sewn on five supports; blind fillets forming three concentric rectangles on boards with blind stamps at outer corners of middle frame; 18th-century gilt tooling on spine; raised bands; sewn endbands; gilt roll around board edges; text block edges sprinkled red.
