Part of the Gillingham Parochial Library, bequeathed to the vicar and feoffees of the parish lands of Gillingham by Thomas Freke (d. 1718?), and placed on permanent loan in Salisbury Cathedral Library 25 November 1992. 17th-century mottled and plain brown calf over rope-fibre boards; sewn on three supports; blind fillets and roll forming three concentric rectangular frames on boards, with blind stamps at outer corners of middle frame; gilt tooling on spine; raised bands; spine label with title; text block edges sprinkled red.
