Part of the Gillingham Parochial Library, bequeathed to the vicar and feoffees of the parish lands of Gillingham by Thomas Freke (d. 1718?), and placed on permanent loan in Salisbury Cathedral Library 25 November 1992. "C3" inscribed on lower flyleaf; spine label with "232". Gillingham reference C3/-/232.

17th-century brown calf over rope-fibre boards; sewn on five supports; blind fillets towards edges of boards forming rectangular from with two additional vertical double fillets towards spine; blind fillets on spine; raised bands; paper spine label with title; gilt fillet around board edges. Upper pastedown has been re-pasted to board; printed waste is visible beneath pastedown.
