No. [blank]”. “Thomas” added in manuscript in gap before “Freke”. “402” added in manuscript in gap following “No”. Part of the Gillingham Parochial Library, bequeathed to the vicar and feoffees of the parish lands of Gillingham by Thomas Freke (d. 1718?), and placed on permanent loan in Salisbury Cathedral Library 25 November 1992. "S.7" inscribed on front flyleaf. Gillingham reference S7/402/-.

17th-century mottled and plain brown calf over paper boards; sewn on five supports; blind fillets forming two concentric rectangular frames on boards with blind stamps at outer corners of inner frame; gilt tooling on spine; raised bands; gilt roll around board edges; text block edges sprinkled red; marbled paper used as endleaves and pastedowns.
